ME Libraries Service

Please see our Borrowing Conditions brochure (pdf) for information about how fines are charged. All fines are charged in Canadian currency.
Please note that once you have $15 or more in unpaid fines, you will not be able to borrow books or renew items.

If you lose your card, please let us know as soon as possible. You are responsible for any items borrowed on your card until you report it missing.

Fines can be paid in person (Cash, Debit or Credit Card), via telephone or online (Credit Card), or at our self checkout machines (Debit or Credit Card)

You can be notified of holds and overdue items by our phone notification system, VELMA.

On your request, we can notify you of information about your account by email instead. Contact us to request this change.

Pre-Overdue Notices

Customers who have given the library an email address as part of their contact information receive a courtesy email 2 days prior to a checked-out item coming due.

Want to save yourself some extended use fees, and begin getting this service? Just talk to the staff at the Check Out Desk about having your email address added to your account.
